I have some insistence that some of my counterparts in the hydraulic valve industry think that it is strange and even unnecessary. For many things, I am quite soft, but once those insistences are touched, I immediately become as hard as steel.
The price of hydraulic valves: as a hydraulic valve manufacturing company for more than 10 years, we have inquiries from new hydraulic valve customers every week, they are mostly B2B customers. These buyers are particularly concerned about one thing: price. This seems to be nonsense. Everyone cares about the price. What I am talking about is not the level of prices, but the consistency of prices.
Once, a hydraulic valve customer from Chile made an inquiry through e-mail. After several rounds of communication, he asked for my social account. I was a little puzzled. He asked privately: are you sure that the price you gave me is the same as others? I know that my Chilean counterparts also purchase hydraulic valves from AAK. I said of course. The same hydraulic valve, the same quantity range, and our price are always the same. He still seems worried. I know this is your principle, but have your colleagues really made no exceptions? I said no. I insist on that.
He said that last year, he purchased a batch of hydraulic valves from manufacturer A. The price was very expensive and the quality was good. It was a purchase order specially approved by his boss. A few days ago, his boss met one of his counterpart and learned that his counterpart also purchased the same batch of hydraulic valves from manufacturer A in the same quantity, but the price was much lower. The boss felt that he had been wronged. When he came back, he flew into a rage and asked me if I had taken a rebate. That was wrong.

For example, in the discussion on the development technology of hydraulic valves, we insist on not saying anything we don't agree with. These insistences, in my counterparts’ opinion, may be completely unnecessary or even totally wrong. But these are my insistence. Please don't touch, I insist. But what if one day, because of these insistences, the company goes bankrupt? Then go bankrupt.
I have always believed that no matter in business or in communication with people, there are 3 most important elements: the first is honesty, the second is frankness, and the third is trust. Business method can decide how high to fly, and business ethics can decide how far to fly. You might say, what if you can't be yourself voluntarily? If there is no way to do the right thing, at least not to do the wrong thing; if there is no way to tell the whole truth, at least not to tell lies.
The fundamental solution is to engage in the production of hydraulic valves, not to do evil, not to fabricate, not to be greedy, to do a good job in the manufacturing quality of hydraulic valves in a down-to-earth manner, and to give back to customers. When the company is faced with the difficult decision of performance and dream, what the company needs is a real crisis, so that all internal forces can feel the real crisis of death, the crisis of trembling performance, and the crisis of silence for all. Then the company can be reborn. For individuals, only by choosing integrity values can they go further and more steadily.
