Adgar from Russia is an old customer of AAK. Recently, he introduced me a customer named Coko. This should be the 4th time for Adgar to introduce me new customers. Coko’s company has developed a hydraulic power unit for aviation systems, but encountered accuracy issues when purchasing hydraulic cartridge valves. In early March of this year, Coko purchased a high-precision hydraulic cartridge valve from an old supplier. But the equipment debugging was not smooth, and the root cause was that the cylindricity of the hydraulic cartridge valve spool exceeded 0.8µm, while the accuracy also exceeded 4µm. The engineer requested that the cylindricity of the hydraulic cartridge valve spool be controlled within 0.3µm and the accuracy be within 2µm, but the original hydraulic cartridge valve manufacturer gave up. After a week of sourcing, there was no manufacturer who is willing to try.
Coko contacted her good friend Adgar, which facilitated the connection between AAK and Coko. According to Coko's description, I know that the machining difficulty of this hydraulic cartridge valve is high, but similar hydraulic cartridge valves produced by AAK, were used on aircraft by Russian customers in 2019. After learning about it, Coko was very happy and requested us to ship 30 hydraulic cartridge valves as soon as possible. Fortunately, we still have stock of this hydraulic cartridge valve, and in about 2 weeks, she received the bulk shipment without any delay in his prototype development.
Yesterday, Coko sent us an email to order 500 hydraulic cartridge valves, as their prototype received positive feedback from the customer. Their engineers are very satisfied with the stable manufacturing quality of AAK hydraulic cartridge valves. All 30 hydraulic cartridge valves meet the requirements of spool cylindricity within 0.3µm and the accuracy within 2µm.
The level of accuracy not only depends on the manufacturer's awareness of manufacturing quality, the technicians' understanding of quality, but also good equipment. The precision machining of this hydraulic cartridge valve is carried out by AAK using Japan Hasegawa high-precision lathe, with full axis servo drive and no cam. Linear guide rail, ball screw forced automatic lubrication centralized lubricator, can dynamically control the accuracy of processing components. The cyclone milling unit adopts a hollow design, which is not only convenient for operation but also has stable accuracy. The most crucial thing is to use special transmission bearings, which solve the accuracy that most lathes cannot solve, and ensure the cylindricity and accuracy of the hydraulic cartridge valve spool.
